Orange San Francisco mobile phone problem

I have an Orange San Francisco mobile phone and overall I'm happy with it. However when I use the "Your Orange" app and try to login to my account to check my mins/text/data usage it always fails to connect and generates an error "please check wireless controls in settings".

I have looked through the settings and nothing appears to be set incorrectly. I know the phone is connected to our home wireless router as I can surf the internet without any issues and it has a good signal.

Whilst I appreciate I could login to my a/c using the internet I would like to get the app to work as it's bugging me.

Anyone have any knowledge of this and can advise how I get it to work ?

Call orange CS. Their app. Their firmware.

The guys in CS don't support firmware and know nothing about it. There is no dept (that I know of) that support Orange's own rubbish firmware versions (and as the whole of that dept is being laid off, I doubt there ever will be now).

Op, try it over 3g, it might only work if the request comes from your mobile number ? (maybe).

The only way to make this app working on my Desire after a break is to go to

Settings >> Applications >> Manage Applications >> Your Orange

    and Clear Data.

Crap as all software produced by Orange.

I got rid of all the orange software on my phone and it works soooo much better. Orange software is rubbish.

Maybe the future *IS* bright then, with less BS Orange bloatware. Seriously all that junk is not needed. It should be illegal and so should locking phones to networks.

Well, the app in question is the one available on the market. I installed it to the unbranded phone and find it useful despite all drawbacks.

Are you trying to use it on wifi? Usually stuff like that needs to be over 3G.

I use it on WiFi mainly. It works fine once after clearing the data.
If my memory doesn't fail me I did try it on 3g once and had the same problem.
