Just typical innit, have filed for divorce and solicitor said theyll need marriage certificate at some point. Well ive taken it down with various paperwork twice now and they havent needed it then. So ive put it away safe, now solicitor has asked for it asap......and i cant find it!!!! Have pulled house apart last few days looking for it and honestly cant find it.
Does anyone know how i go about getting another, solicitor said something about going to the office where we booked the dates etc. Is that right? And how long roughly would a replacement take?? Thanks xxx

Wow...I hope that's a mis-type or you need a great solicitor to go time travelling :rotfl:0 -
Nope no miss type! Tell me bout it!! The link you gave me said something bout 4-15 days so theres still a (slim lol) chance and thats what im focusing on. Plus i wont stop searching in meantime, just dont help that my landlord has put house i rent on market so im trying to stay as tidy as possible (with 2 kids!) Xx0

Tidy house, tell me about it.
Im just at the start of having a new kitchen fitted in the morning. The contents of my kitchen are spread all over the house,
The living room has an old wardrobe set over to 4 compartment plastic towers, where the kettle etc. is being utilised.
The frdge freezer is in the sitting room. The new kitchen is stacked up in the dining end of the kitchen. I wish I could time travel for just about a week. lolmake the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

Registry office, apply to the registrar, church wedding contact the vicar. There is a standard fee for a copy, alhough I can't remember what it is. If any problem eg vicar on holiday, one of the church wardens should be able to help.0

Can the church give you a replacement certificate? I've never heard of that.
If you live in the area that you married in, your local records office will be the best option. If not, ellay864's link is the way to go.0 -
Just a thought if you do need it so quick...some years ago I lost my birth certficate and had to get a replacement. I went down to the local register office where my birth had been registered (luckily I was still in the same area) and they did it for me there and then...if you can get that it might make that hour's bus ride worth it
