piggers - sorry to hear OH is being difficult. I seem to remember him being very excited about squeak... and also wanting a boy as well to carry on his name... he was great with the rest of the kids too (presumably he still is) so maybe something else is bothering him? No I think it is just dreading what is to come given how negative he is towards Squeak Are you guys getting enough time together without the children, to enjoy each others' company? We never get a minute.. the older ones are refusing to go to their dads ever and Squeak is bit of a clingon.. she does go to bed fairly early though.. but then so do I at the moment. And are you also each getting that me-time that you remind us we have to have each week? I do Sometimes you need a bit of space to appreciate the people who normally fill it. And you both have a LOT of people around and a lot of things to fit in. Is his work situation part of the problem? I don't know, I think he is fairly bored but he won't do/attempt to do anything and I can't bodily pick him up and force him. He hated signing on so he is registered as DD4's carer but that was so he didn't have to waste his time at the job cenre every 2 weeks not so he could become a couch potato.. I have suggested all sorts, helping out at school, studying, voluntary work, any kind of work.. it doesn't even have to be full time if he feels that would be too much.. I don't know what else to do!

(He does know how babies are made, doesn't he? Assuming he is reasonably bright ... even though he's a man... if he didn't want another one he was perfectly capable of preventing it... ).

Oh he knows all right.. that might be the problem :p

We had no reason to think I was ovulating, I've not had AF since having Squeak so this was a complete surprise.. I don't even know when it is due yet!

Prevention starts at day 1 with this one!!!!!! I'm not doing this again!

My dad once sent a couple in for his'n'hers ops... because they were so fertile they reckoned that doing only one of them wouldn't work :p

If OH wants to talk to someone about work I have recently freed up some mentoring time (most of my mentees have got new jobs in the last 12 months, so don't need quite as much TLC as they did when looking), so I'm happy to help. You'll just have to use your skills in reverse psychology to persuade him that its a complete waste of time and he could probably do much better on his own without any help...

I DID NOT miss taking it...but I got pregnant with DD2!

car MOT'd *purse wails* and has a new exhaust (That came as a surprise...NOT)

and the lawns have been mowed for the first time this year! I didn't bother picking up the clippings because iof the wind. I've also top-dressed some tubs with my own home-made compost, and done some slashing - the results of this have half-filled the green bin!.

Big pat on the back needed please .... I've ironed all DS's cotbed quilt covers, pillowcases, fitted sheets, flat cotton sheets and flanelette(sp) sheets ready to sell. I've got a blister where I've been holding the iron; I'm not the neatest ironer in the world but I really tried with this.

About to do tea for me and the kids, then need to get DD sorted for Cubs tonight.
