Are you perhaps referring to the 'counter' that can be put at the bottom of each listing?

It's also available in the listings analytics that are available on the 'applications' tab but that might only be for business sellers.

On Ebay... when you are creating.. or you can revise the listing..

Look for the section that says...

Describe the item you're selling click Add or remove options

Click VISITOR COUNTER and then SAVE

Then it appears just under where you create your listing and you can choose the style and if you want it hidden or not ;)

Out of about a dozen things I've got listed at present it tells me the number of page views on half of them, no idea how I've selected that option on most of those. There are two items where I've selected the counter - suspect that might be on the advanced sell, but the page views has appeared on items I've gone for the quick sell on too.

I don't know why it isn't there in 'available columns' along with custom label, start date, postage cost, etc etc It's there for everyone....
hang on, do you have 'Selling Manager'? Perhaps it's only available there?

If that's it and the option is available only on Selling Manager, then I'd get it. It's easy and free and available to private sellers and it gives better ways to organise sales even if you're only an occasional seller. AND it will give you the views and watchers.

Please let me know if my guess is right and sorry for causing any confusion everyone!
Thanks botanical. I'm still not sure why I haven't got the option. It sounds, from what others have written, as though it's something selected at the time of listing. As most of my auctions finish today, I'll leave it for now and have proper look next time I list something.

I don't have seller manager, so maybe that's it, as you suggest. With all the current "upgrade your private account to a business" going on, I think I'm better off leaving it alone, just in case ebay are using it to 'ambush' private sellers.

[I've sold several items for my parents this month for over £100 each, so I don't want to be setting off false triggers that I'm a business... Yep, I may be paranoid, but so far ebay haven't sent me a snotty email telling me that by selling a few 1950s ornaments that have been in the family since new, constitutes business activity!] :rotfl:

I've got a personal account & have the views counter, except for freelistings days I tend to use Turbolister so maybe if you list via that it comes up.

Selling Manager is free for everyone, business, private. Selling Manager Pro is the upgrade.
But you're right, no need to invite an ambush!
