Why are anarchists targeting HSBC?

My staff were scared, it has cost us a fortune in lost turnover/wages paid for work not done and we aren't even the target. We are just the unintentional 'victims' (not that I would ever label us victims ever) who lost out from the protest.
If these priviledged protesters (and I am sure most are from far more priviledged backgrounds than us as 1; they could afford to lose a Saturday, 2; could afford to spend mental energy planning it and 3; could pay the fines if arrested................could talk to the people who they affected directly, then they would change ther tactics.
I have a lot to say on the issue (as I feel today was a cresecendo that arose from the fact that their recent 'work' had being 'ignored' by the media) and it really winds me up big time folks.0 -
And who gets to clear all the mess up? That's right, all the poorly paid workers. Rich, isn't it..................
....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

If you really want to change things you have do it from the inside.......do what you believe, trade in the way you think is right, if you run a business, register it here in the UK and pay the taxes due....don't waste time and energy targetting businesses who they think are 'wrong'.....complete and total waste of time.....mind you, they'll be uploading their YT's and thinking they made an impact (cos it was shown on telly) and you know what?
They did phuk all of any value whatsovever...just made a mess, made a noise and that doesn't last. What last's is what you do not what you say.
I have guests arriving now so I'll get off me box but I am sooooo mad at the pointlesseness of it all. Winds me up to the nth0 -
The media's Orwellian use of the word 'anarchist' in these protests is laughable (no offense to Vivatifosi or any other poster - I realise its easy to simply repeat the media's classification of these protestors).
Anarchism is a political philosophy which considers the state undesirable.
That's the first line from wikipedia (though every dictionary definition is virtually the same - see Merriam Webster or dictionary.com) . It's the age old definition, anarchists hate the state.
So, how can the worthless British media call those committing violence in London anarchists when they don't want to destroy the state but make it all powerful? If you're protesting against HSBC or any other organisation/individual for tax avoidance your effective position is that the government owns everyones labour unless specifically granted leniency by the state.
The thugs on the streets of London tonight are Trots & other forms of Communists, they are not anarchists.
edit/addendum: and what's with the "mostly peaceful" prefix to everything that's happening? Could you imagine the BBC/Guardian calling an EDF rally "mostly peaceful"? Simple media bias, one extreme is defended while another chastised (though class may also have something to do with it too)."The state is the great fiction by which everybody seeks to live at the expense of everybody else." -- Frederic Bastiat, 1848.0 -

It is because they all usually post on here, & have read michaels signature...;)Since Oct 08 BoE Cut Base Rate 4.5%
HSBC (Oct 08 'We have the most competitive SVR of the big banks') cut svr by 2.31% - Savings rates cut by 4.5%
Think about how HSBC and First Direct treat existing customers before you become a new customerIt's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

You can be an anarchist, change things and make a difference without making a song and dance about things and hurting others.
The police looked really ineffectual on the telly....just standing there whilst they sprayed and chucked stuff......really weird protests are nowadays...almost staged for maximum YT effect.0 -
I think the police wanted to demonstrate to the public just exactly what happens when they keep their truncheons in their pockets and don't indulge in kettleing..................
