Hi i need advice - i live mostly at my dads house where i have dial up internet access but i also live occassional weeks in london where i can use the dial up too. the bills have been very high at my dads so im thinking of going to broadband....
If i move to broadband can i do the same, moving around access?
or do i need wireless?
which broadband is best for my needs?
its mostly for general stuff but would like to occasionally download music and maybe watch foreign tv
ta for any advice! ( i dont really understand broadband...clearly!)

Hi Dilanroj,
The way that broadband works (in the 'traditional' sense) is that something called ADSL is installed on a phone line which enabled the broadband service. Thus broadband is line specific to the number which you installed the service on.
If you're primarily accessing the Internet from your Dad's house, I would look at an inexpensive broadband provider for that location. Then for the times that you're away from that location use a service like BT Openzone - I find Openzone slightly expensive for general web stuff, but if it's for work then it's probably worth the costs.
Hope that is helpful!
Kind regards,

Thanks, that makes it a bit clearer.
Unfortunately the london connection is not for work, its my flat there so i need to keep that cheap too.
Could I change my dial-up registration to london address and still use that when im there PLUS go for a broadband package at my dads? And can you explain what wireless is for, if not for moving around?
