If your bunny is not elderly or suffering from any other health issues it might be a good idea to check you are feeding enough fibre to stop similar issues happening. Ideally your rabbit should be eating 80-90% hay.

Also its a good idea to start daily bum checks as bunnies who have issues keeping themself clean are at particular high risk of flystrike.

Bathing wise bunnies find this stressful so try to only do a bottom bath and put a towel in the sink/bowl for grip as SpammyTheSpammer so rightly suggested.

Well I had to bath my Guinea Pig recently and she came to no harm. She particularly enjoyed being towel dried. I made sure that I kept her warm and dried her thoroughly. Mine live inside during the cold weather so she didnt get chilled. I just used plain water but you could use shampoo I guess.

Haha!! My piggy used to squeal and purr in total pleasure when he was towel dried...Perv!!!!!

I used to do my bunny regularly as when she was getting on a bit she used to get dirt clumping round her back end. Would put her in the bath and gently pour lukewarm water over her, avoiding her head and ears, and then use a mild or baby shampoo. Wrapped her in a towel to get most of the water off and then kept inside until totally dry. Bless her, she never really took to it and would sit there bedraggled and glaring at me.
