I went to Tesco yesterday and bought 7 items, 3 were double the difference but 4 were not. Looking at my receipt, the 3 that had double the difference have asterisks next to them but the other 4 items do not. Does anyone know why this is please? Do the tills "know"?

I'm not going to do more than five lots of £20 each month too, don't see the point in taking the P.

    Tesco don't take the P.

Did you pick up the right one, only the refill pack is £6. I picked it up the first time and it was on the shelf with a £10.15 shelf price. It wasnt until I went back the next day I realised the starter pack at £10.15 was slightly different. Hope you understand what I mean!

Me dim..... I have the refill - it was where it said starter pack.... will have a look for the starter pack next time although to be fair there were only this type of pack on the shelves... will need the starter pack to be able to use this I think..

Many thanks for clearing my stupidity-- well a bit of it:(:o

don't know for sure, but i think it has something to do with certain items being taxed?

  • I wouldn't worry as some that I know are DTD's are not asterisked on mine and some that I know aren't DTD's are asterisked. I think it probably has something to do with VAT rates applicable perhaps?

Wine, hula hoops, washing powder taxed, coleslaw, ham, chicken, milk not taxed?
