Got Hubby trawling "My Supermarket" as I am working tomorrow which means he'll have to go shopping, he is a propper bargain hunter at the best of times so he will probably end up doing half a dozen shops lol. should be ok if he does everything cash and doesnt use his clubcard and also if we use different email addys??
  • Just given my first voucher in and bought more things to go towards a new one. The SA kicked off a little because the time didn't match up an there was a digit missing. The supervisor came over and told her to just put it through and she'd take responsibility for it. The SA next to her said she didn't even ask for a receipt off her last customer. She didn't sign it so I told her to do so and in the excitement I forgot to hand over my clubcard! :D

Quantumatic is £6 now - does anyone know if this works? I understand that originally some people had some success on this but believe that was a few days ago and at a higher price... the shelf price said £10.16 but actually charged £6 with a different description on receipt "regular finish" - very odd.

From catching up with all the unread posts (there were loads!), I seem to be the only one who has never been asked for the old receipt. None of the SA's had ever seen a voucher before, so I take out my receipt and tell them they have to check the details match lol. And if it's one where I've use my debit card, i keep it for the visa competition, otherwise i just throw them away afterwards.

Also the self service tills at the Tesco that i go to, don't accept the vouchers at all or any coupons without an SA's approval. I've never had a problem with an SA accepting them, but I don't like having any attention on me as I have to wave my hand to get someone to come over (especially as most of them are always busy with the elderly who have no idea what to do). And the self service checkout is in direct line of the security area so I always feel self conscious. Yesterday 3 policemen came and went directly to security. I kept thinking 'oh please don't say someone commited fraud with the DTD promo'.

Got 5 more Herbal Essences today, 1 box of Elevenses and also added some normal shopping on (some Quorn stuff which has been coming as N/F or N/A) So should be another £20. :)
  • Anyone have the link to the spreadsheet please . ty

So you're planning on exceeding the £100 monthly limit?

Thanks. Not sure this means end of DTD though. 'The Grocer' is a weekly and to publish "end of DTD" today would have meant they'd have had to know Thursday - Friday latest. If the news was out then wouldn't we have heard it before now? I'm inclined to think they are referring more to the climb down from £100 limit to £20 than anything else.
Here's the piece they printed last week:

    http://www.thegrocer.co.uk/articles.aspx?page=articles&ID=216889

Panic not people (well not about the article anyway), it is a discussion piece about Tesco having to backtrack on their Double the Difference promotion, imposing the £20 limit and revised General Term (36) on Thursday that they reserve the right to withhold, issue or redeem a voucher if they suspect a customer is abusing the spirit of the Price Check scheme. It draws specific attention to this thread (hello :silenced:).

Where has sirbrainy gone? He was an avid and amusing contributor to this thread but not seen any posts from him for a while..
He was here earlier today Im sure.
Perhaps he has reported his 10th fraudster and has won a two min shopping dash around Tesco, only prob is he keeps stopping the clock when he gets £20 worth of DTD in his trolley, has not gotten past the proglide razors yet and the store shut 2 hours ago.
Love your Mum, you'll never get another one when she's gone.
