Just back from Tesco where the till chewed up my receipt  A lady from CS printed me off a new one (on A4, which I know will be a problem) and noticed what I was buying and said that they had an email today saying that the DTD was going to stop being applied to items on offer  Has anyone else heard this?

Happened to me too! it's the receipt for a £20 voucher! gonna wait to go with OH and just do one shop to use it

Re the post about on offers stopping-
Well this may be what my sa was meaning. It was an email the manager got. So perhaps if something is on rollback in asda it won't count.

But how do they define "on offer"?

So, basically, if Asda reduce their prices on any items that they have been selling at a higher price, Teesco will not match it? How B***** daft is that - of course Tesco will be cheaper if they won't compare items that Asda sell cheaper. I thought Tesco couldn't !!!! up this offer any more than they already have - this takes the biscuit though.

Tesco'ism for me today - not allowed to use DTD voucher if your shopping is exactly the same again...

Brilliant idea - that'll really fox us!

I have always tried to avoid buying repeats of any items when using an earlier DTD voucher - I just swap them aroundd each time. Saves giving the CA an excuse to makee rude comments!

My interpretation is a bit different. I think, from the way the original post is worded, that they are talking about excluding items that are on offer at Tesco - so if you buy only one item from a BOGOF, then it won't count.

That would of course work two ways - they couldn't compare any items on offer, making it easier to 'hide' your DTD shopping if you bulk it out with Tesco offers.

Persil non bio is showing up at £11.98 at asda now for the 4.25 kg and not £6.00. So no dtd.

The persil bio is £9 at T and £6 at A tho, so check carefully if your buying persil!

Shop 1 :: 01/04/11 17:55 > Paid cash and said 'yes' to offer of new temp clubcard. SA also scanned barcode of prior accompanying receipt (cash / no clubcard) "to give me the points for that shop". NO VOUCHER TODAY.

Shop 2 01/04/11 20:48 > Paid cash, no clubcard. But SA scanned barcode of prior accompanying receipt along with the voucher (effectively linking the two txns together). VOUCHER RECEIVED OK AT 10:40 THIS MORNING.

(NB. different stores, receipt details input 30-45 mins after till time)

    Hmmm?

Mine are all from the same store, paid for with different cards and no clubcard. I think it's quite random, I had one previously not come through that was entered in a batch with others.

From what people are saying there doesn't seem to be any consistent link between those which are taking longer to come through. Well, except that they're full of DTD stuff but then none of us would have any!
