BTW, I think Tesco BOGOF is a complete con and should be made illegal. Last month I bought a bottle of Viakal spray for £1.70, then week later wanted to get another one but, surprise surprise, they had BOGOF for £3."Retail is for suckers"

Bonne Maman raspberry conserve came back N/A.
Not going to return the one I bought (thank God I didn't buy 10!), I will just chalk it up to experience and move on (get me).
If you like this Jam, just back from getting some real food at Waitrose after my 4 Tesco shops today and noticed.
Waitrose have buy 2 save £1.25 so cheapest place to buy this jam at the moment.0 -

This highlights the con that is supermarket pricing - they artificially raise the prices in order to offer BOGOF etc. I was in a well known northern supermarket chain a few weeks ago and saw a BOGOF on marshmallow t-cakes at £1.27 - thought it seemed okay until I happened to notice that the price per packet on the shelf (which had not been removed before the promotion started) was 63p per pack.
Nescafe Gold Blend is another prime example - if you look at mysupermarket the "normal" price for 200g is £4.50 at Asda (Rollback no doubt - I have been there mid-week and noted the price raised to £5.79 then rolled back to £4.50 at the weekend!) or £5.79 on offer at £4.50 at Sainsburys and Waitrose, while Tesco are still at £5.79 (no doubt in preparation for a reduction to £4.50 or an offer of 2 for £7 or whatever).
Bread is also significantly over-priced on branded and then on offer at 2 for £1.20 or whatever, as is fruit juice (Princes are a prime example).
They also manipulate pack sizes (beer is a prime example, with number of cans/bottles and can/bottle size changed frequently to give the appearance of a saving.
They treat us as mugs and we have no choice, as it appears that they work the market together (look at recent postings of profits - clearly margins have increased, though they would claim they have increased their customers levels with agressive pricing).
Rant over, now back to our main topic ...

Just back from Tesco where the till chewed up my receipt  A lady from CS printed me off a new one (on A4, which I know will be a problem) and noticed what I was buying and said that they had an email today saying that the DTD was going to stop being applied to items on offer  Has anyone else heard this?
Yes a SA told me last week they were stopping DTD on items on offer, I think what she meant was if we buy only one of an item to make it dearer than Asda it wouldnt be included.:(If you see someone without a smile give them one of yours,
It wont cost you anything!
