Can anyone confirm that it's safe to enter receipts from shopping bought today in order to get a voucher tomorrow? A lot of people have been saying that the website isn't working properly and isn't accepting any receipts. Don't want to try incase it invalidates my receipt somehow!

Was aiming to get some of the Dove body washes today but I wasn't sure if i'd found the right ones or not - my store had one that mentioned moisture on the bottle but it wasn't called Triple Moisturising like reported on here (although it did say triple moisturising on the SEL) so decided not to buy it just incase it was the wrong thing. Same with the Softening Silk one - it said that on the SEL, but no mention of it on the actual item. No 150ml Nivea men's deodorants either (only the bigger bottles), no Elevenses (have been searching the cereal aisle for a week with no luck - I bet they're right under my nose too!) and none of the famous Finest lamb (i'm considering travelling 30+ miles to Tesco Extra just to get some, I feel left out haha!) but still plenty of pancake mix left to bring the total back up! God bless Betty Crocker! :rotfl:

hardly used my clubcard this month....Mr T must think i'm on holiday!!! ;)

seriously though it doesnt sit well with me claiming points on items im technically getting for free as its the only true way Tesco can keep an eye on what you are spending!!!
  • Still loads of Phileas Fogg and plenty of Cornettos in our Tesco. In fact, even racks of lamb. I think we must be the only MSErs to shop there! I was at a different till to DH today and when I presented my voucher, the lovely assistant didn't have a clue so called someone from customer services over who looked at it like it was from outer space and said "Where did you get this?" with a note of incredulity in his voice. I explained it was Tesco's Pricechecker scheme. He scratched his head. "Well, I'll have to check it out..." he said. After several minutes, during which I advised the cashier and lady behind me in the queue how to use the scheme, he returned and said "You MUST keep the receipt and keep it with the voucher". I didn't need the receipt so didn't complain and hoped to use a second voucher when he'd gone which is exactly what happened. The assistant said she'd noticed the Pricecheck posters around the store but that they have been taken down now.

So, Tesco are so confident they are cheaper than Asda that they have a promotion to prove it but have to limit it to £20 and remove the posters to advertise it, don't tell staff it's on and hope no-one will find out. If it is 'OK' for Tesco to seek out a greater profit margin by inflating the prices of some stuff (some of the price differences have been awesome), I feel fine by trying to seek out a greater reduction :D

Please can everyone stop doing this now. The SA I got today said she'd seen a few of the vouchers. A bad sign I feel, so I'd like to fill my boots as much as possible before it gets pulled! ;)
There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.
