Thank you for your emails to Philip Clarke our Chief Executive to which I have been asked to respond.
I was sorry to learn of the problems you had at our *******and ******stores recently when trying to use price check coupons. Please accept my sincere apologies for any upset or inconvenience that was caused.
Unfortunately at the time you presented these coupons, as listed on our terms and conditions online, this offer did state that ' the total amount that can be claimed is limited to £100 per calendar month per household.'
Given the high amount of the vouchers and taking into account that a very small number of people have used Price Check just to seek out products which a competitor has on promotion and to make some money out of our guarantee. I can understand why our store felt they had to therefore query the coupons.
Having said this, although we do need to check the validity on coupons, we should carry this out in an efficient, polite and professional manner and I am sorry if this was not the case.
I have highlighted this to the relevant Store Managers in order that they can remind their staff of this in their next team meeting.
Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention.
Yours sincerely
Nicola Buchan
Customer Service Executive
omg!!!!!:mad::mad: All they've done is a 'reminder to staff' I waited bl***dy 55 mins for the voucher to be authorised and finally submitted!!!
I can't believe that the fact the supervisor in the other store said "we are onto you" and embarassed me in front of the public and humiliated me means nothing more than a 'reminder' to them!!!!
heres a reply i had to a moan email i sent about the way i was treated in a store, the sa said something along the lines of "you scammers won't get away with this for much longer and left me stood for ages while she went off with my voucher presumably to check it (wasn't 55 mins though!!)
Thank you for your email to our Chief Executive's Office, to which I have been asked to respond.
Dear Mrs mumto2loves
I was concerned to learn that one of our staff members has spoken to you in an inappropriate manner, whilst you were shopping at our (tesco*,**** . I understand why you would be unhappy and I sincerely apologise for any upset or distress caused.
We try hard to make shopping with us a simple and rewarding experience and we have processes in place to make sure that our customers always receive an excellent service. So, I was very disappointed that we let you down on this occasion.
Our staff members should be polite, helpful and professional whilst dealing with our customers at all times and events such as you have described are completely unacceptable. In order to ensure that this matter is dealt with appropriately, I have forwarded your email to **** our Store Manager. Steve has investigated this matter fully and has taken steps to ensure that a similar situation is not repeated in future.
All relevant staff members in store have received further training regarding how they interact with our valued customers and I am confident that, with the cooperation of my management colleagues in store, we can avoid any further customer disappointment.
Thank you once again for bringing this matter to the attention of our Chief Executive's Office. I hope that, despite your experience, you will give us the chance to restore your faith in our operations, by coming back and shopping with us again.
Kind Regards
Ewan Small
Customer Service Executive
