Thank you for your emails to Philip Clarke our Chief Executive to which I have been asked to respond.

I was sorry to learn of the problems you had at our *******and ******stores recently when trying to use price check coupons. Please accept my sincere apologies for any upset or inconvenience that was caused.

Unfortunately at the time you presented these coupons, as listed on our terms and conditions online, this offer did state that ' the total amount that can be claimed is limited to £100 per calendar month per household.'

Given the high amount of the vouchers and taking into account that a very small number of people have used Price Check just to seek out products which a competitor has on promotion and to make some money out of our guarantee. I can understand why our store felt they had to therefore query the coupons.

Having said this, although we do need to check the validity on coupons, we should carry this out in an efficient, polite and professional manner and I am sorry if this was not the case.

I have highlighted this to the relevant Store Managers in order that they can remind their staff of this in their next team meeting.

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention.

    Yours sincerely

omg!!!!!:mad::mad: All they've done is a 'reminder to staff' I waited bl***dy 55 mins for the voucher to be authorised and finally submitted!!!
I can't believe that the fact the supervisor in the other store said "we are onto you" and embarassed me in front of the public and humiliated me means nothing more than a 'reminder' to them!!!!

    I've been Money Tipped!
Went to do a dtd shop tonight and placed 4 Betty Crocker pancake mixes in my trolley there was a sign as I had seen yesterday bogof. Went through the till and the Sa was lovely and spotted that the pancake mixes had'nt gone through as bogof I said I didn't mind!!!!:eek::eek:But she called over the supervisor who insisted that I get a refund at customer services. She gave me back £5.96 and scribbled refund over charge on reciept. This shop was a dtd shop paid with a coupon therefore I wan't to submit my reciept details to get my next dtd coupon however will I get any hassle using the coupon then when I show the reciept!!!??????:o

Got the after eights tonight and just trying to decide if they'd be ok to keep till Christmas as the expiry date is 12/11! My son will be off to uni next year and I already have a stack of Fray Bentos pies for him to take expiry date 2014! and a finding myself checking the best dates for teabags so as I can stash them for him as well!

gosh thought my day has been bad! thats totally unacceptable, write back and say that its not good enough and that unprofessional accusatory behaviour is exactly what puts people off buying in tesco. Tell him his response isn't good enough and you will be writing to the CEO-whats his name again..?:D
