I'm thinking it will be store specific for now. But let's be realistic.....it's a matter of time before Tesco stops it altogether. That woman wont be the only person who has done this, or used a voucher again! She will be the first person to kick up a stink about them stopping it too.....and all the other people just like her!

Don't get me wrong, I completely agree with you, but talking about theft and fraud is nonsense.

    Returns
Where an item on a receipt is returned, Tesco reserves the right to invalidate the whole receipt for the purposes of Price Check or where a Price Check voucher has already been obtained, invalidate the voucher.
Where an item on a receipt is returned and a Price Check voucher has already been redeemed in relation to this receipt, any refund offered for the item may be offered net of the Price Check voucher's value.
Where an item is purchased using a Price Check voucher and the item is subsequently returned, any refund will be offered by way of a Tesco money card only.
Returns will not be accepted because a product is not matched on Price Check.
The Returns Policy does not affect the customer's statutory rights.

Yes as it was Thursday, they started the £20 max on Friday.

We introduced the cap yesterday but due to a technical error this was applied historically. We have now been able to resolve this problem, and any customer who submitted a price check before 12 Noon on the 24th March will have their full amount up to £100 honoured. Please be aware that any queries submitted after this time, and going forward, will be capped at £20. Please accept my apologies for any inconvenience this has caused you.

this was part of the email i got fron CS. My shop was done at 19.35 on thursday evening.

The only thing i can think of is that remeber at the start there was confusion over the 24hr clock thing, i thnk thats maybe why I got DTD.They maybe think it was 7.35am lol

Stupidly put a multibuy deal through at the same time as my herbal essences today!! The cheerios buy one get 2 free- wasn't all bad though as the deal didn't work and I was charged full price for all 3 (£2.09 each) and claimed £8.38 at the checkout :D will need to return my herbal essences later though as my receipt has "overcharge" written across it and will cause no end of hassle if I take it in with a price check voucher!! Off to tesco again later for my refund (hopefully) :)

For those who seem to be indicating that I'm returning the herbal essences when I "got them for free" I don't think I explained fully- I didn't use a voucher to pay today, I bought £30.72 worth of shopping and chucked in a couple of shampoos for hopefully a small dtd of £7.28 but now that I have had to take my receipt to CS desk to point out the overcharge on the cereal I would like to return the shampoo as I wouldn't be happy to claim a price check on a receipt which has already had an item returned (cheerios). Jeez!! :)

Hopefully the Betty Crocker pancake mixes are still around, and if they are the Asda price is either 25p or 50p (Tesco have used both on the same day).

BUT each bottle has a 30p coupon on the back, so when buying your next few 'fillers' redeem these too, making them even better value at £1.19 with a DTD of possibly £2.48
I didn't do it, nobody saw me do it, you can't prove a thing! ;)

Golfer they changed their minds again after releasing this statement and the whole £20 cap came in on Friday 25th! So any voucher input Thursday were honoured which we were all gutted about as a few tried to keep it under cap on the Thursday!

I paid £3.32 each for 2 herbal essences which I could've got for £1.50 each at Asda so although I made £2.11 on the cheerios I've still paid £3.64 more for the shampoo than I'd have paid at Asda- does that make sense? Returning herbal essences not the cheerios :D

You know I think you may be right, they messed-up the 24hr time thing so think all p.m. shops on the 24th are a.m. - my friend also got a £66 DTD when he thought he'd have to return the Turner rd wine he'd bought from Thursday evening. :money:

Think they finally decided Friday because of this problem.
