inverness is about 40 miles north of elgin, its been named a 'tesco town' in the past by the press lol recently asda have been delivering from the elgin store tho and even more recently to where i am :D so is all good, we've been deprived of asda up until this point lol unless u take the trip to elgin every few weeks which we have done in past, good thing now tho is we can pick and choose between asda and tesco and one thing this has made me is an 'expert' on shopping basket comparisons lol

40 miles north of Elgin would be across the water at Brora?
And as far as I am aware Aberdeen and Inverness are still at opposite sides of the country.

If Tesco want an easy way out of this promotion and to reduce the amount of vouchers issued all they need to do is lower their prices

If I was the promotion manager I would certainly be looking at every single refund we had to give.

There must be a way to update prices in each and every store.

Would be cheaper to employ a full time member of staff to monitor an email and print a new SEL than paying out many times.

Also employ a small team just using search engines on a regular basis monitor what people are saying.

I accept some prices will vary regionally. But how many roasting tins and razors are they going to be paying us to take away?

I say Tesco found it EASY to make promises it still cannot keep.

After the first time i phoned customer services, and was told they would sort things out, which was why i went back to the same store the second time ( next nearest, 30 miles away ) As a token gesture of goodwill i was told they would send me a gift card for £15, which I am still waiting for!
Maybe i should have done more i dont know.
I am not so good at putting my point over!

I know!! It amazes how many of my friends aren't interested in this promotion. Even after I've told them you can get food for free or next to nothing....they're still not interested! I don't think they can be bothered faffing about to be honest but I even offered to a friend a list of DTDs the other day to make it easier but they declined my offer.

Been there, Nobody listens. My wife is tutting at me reading this again now :) she likes the shampoo and nivea and olay products though! :p

On all my transactions with a DTD voucher, none (except one, and that was because I'd gone through the previous day :D) of the SAs have acted like they have seen one before, I have mostly had to explain what it was and that they should scan it etc.

So maybe it's absolutely true that Mr T is currently monitoring the situation and working out how to combat abuse but not particularly perturbed by recycling - though annoyed at the obvious frauds.

Here's a tip: print in big letters on the DTD voucher: sales assistant MUST sign original receipt 'DTD voucher claimed'.

    Hope that helps.

So instead of DTD this has turned into a geography lesson from the north of Scotland, lol. I'm between Elgin & Inverness and would never think of being "north of Aberdeen", just "west".
    If I had known then what I know now . . .

If there is one thing I have learnt and that is there will always be an offer/loophole.

I remember the family living on the best sirloin for weeks because Tesco couldn't get their act together on prices. R&R was great.

The coupons were great while they lasted too - several years.

There are still many items now that you can get refunded on and keep the item for nothing. I'm up a few hundred this year.

Sadly this last promotion is taking a lot of time up - but this too will end. Hence why I said previously 'make hay whilst the sun shines'.

Last week I said to my brother: you could get 6 bottles of free wine!

He (who likes his wine) looked worried and said: not sure we want 6 bottles of wine lying around the house...er...no thanks.
