Had no problems in Hookwood yesterday, my SA hadn't seen a voucher before and OH's had only had one. Loads of DTD stock and didn't see anyone else with a voucher or similar shopping :rotfl:

Hope it's not true! Would make Tesco look even more stupid if they pull it now, as all it will prove is that they are still so much more expensive on lots of items, even after having the time to match their prices - something you think they'd be more careful of especially since the £20 limit was put in place.

Spent my remaining big one today no probs at all.

Rest assured - even if Mr T pulled the promotion, they would still have to honour all legitimate vouchers ie vouchers with a back up receipt.

I bought 4 packets of each (aa/aaa) and I think it wound up costing me under 50p a pack.

I don't understand how can people abuse the system by using vouchers more than once. My voucher has the receipt numbers on the bottom and I have to take the receipt with me. Surely, the staff sign/stamp the receipt to say the receipt/voucher have been used like they do with returns.

If not, then Mr T only has himself to blame.

I don't believe they are going to pull the DTD just like that.

If it is the case then some people here only have themselves to blame!

I have used 8 or 9 vouchers the most being for £34 in just over a week. I resisted for about a week before I jumped in.

Stories of people clearing shelves, or people complaining about spending over their vouchers disgusts me to be honest. This is beyond greed and it is these people who will ultimately end this promotion. Surely a bit of consideration for others and even Tesco....a shop btw that I dislike but at the end of the day we have been so lucky but people are still slagging Tesco off.......I am astonished with some of the comments I've read here this week. People bragging about how much they've had too!

Yeah that sounds harsh and I don't want to be but it is the truth!

I was going to do a biggish non DTD shop this week because I was feeling guilty for having around £140 from Mr T in the last week.

I'm not saying people shouldn't make the most of it, but come on people, you could ruin it for others and yourself!

I sympathise and agree with much of what you say. However I can only speak for myself, in saying it isn't greed, but more the feeling that it will end soon anyway. It isn't well thought out, and if I can stock my cupboards now with non perishables, this will sort me for much of the year.
