Yes generally you will need to connect it to an external aerial to get a picture. Normally you get an aerial patch lead about a meter long with a plug on each end with the Freeview box. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

Yes you should be able to pick one up quite cheaply from somewhere like the £ shop. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

Does the freeview have a scart socket and does your tv have a scart socket. if so use aerial cable from your freeview box to the box on the wall saying tv then take a scart cable from the freeview box and attach to the scart socket on your tv. Will get back to you when you get that far. (If req)0

I assume that you have a TV and that it is already connected to an aerial?
If so then disconnect the aerial lead from the TV and plug in to the aerial in socket of your freeview box; then use the patch lead you'll get from the £ shop to connect the freeview box to the TV. Finally connect the box to your TV with a scart connector.
Hope this helps.0 -
I have a tv but its connected to a cable box not the outside areal, i have always had it connected to the box, think i'll have to get a cable for it.:j Baby boy Number 2, arrived 12th April 2009!:j0

if you have a good freeview reception in your area then an indoor ariel (from the poundshop) will be good enough.-....-.---.---. ..... .- -.-.

So that means
1.cable box to freeview RF in socket or aeriel in socket with cable u already have
2.freeview to tv with scart connector0 -

The Cable box connection should be left alone if you still receive programming from a CableTV provider. And if that is the case, why on earth would you need to connect Freeview to that particular TV?0 -
