Evening everyone, welcome midwinter and other newbies. No this is definitely not the case but as we have been couponning a lot longer and have saved loads of money because of them, we are anxious that any coupons should not be abused as this would almost certainly result in the manufacturer withdrawing them or even worse the supermarkets banning them altogether.

As explained you can often print more than one, and in the case of pdf coupons print as many as you like. Stay with us here and you will find everyone friendly and extremely helpful.

I agree. All couponing eyes welcome! It was just that I read on the new "cottage" thread several posts blatantly advocating the photocopying of printable coupons - to one's hearts content, especially over the Fairy fabric softener currently a potential price guarantee target in Tesco/Asda and my heart sank and these posts were worded as if this was the norm.

As the post above suggests quite a few of us are not new to coupon use and have seen ugly times due to mis-use 18 months ago especially the duplication of couponnet printables. We all sighed in despair when we read that photocopying seemed to be acceptable.

The last thing any of us wanted to do was to put anyone off coupon usage especially now we are having to tweak our own way of using the big two greedy giant supermarkets to our advantage. Just those two words - photocopy and coupon - made us all feel queasy thats all.

All newbies are very very welcome, so join in and enjoy sharing.
Love, through the trees, past the sky, beyond the northern lights; and I won't let go. May your soul and spirt fly sweetheart x

Thankyou all. I'm not at all sure that coupons will help me as I rarely buy Premium branded goods. But, will be good to visit this thread from time to time, to see if there are any useful coupons to me, ie if premium branded - coupon < value brand!

I for one, wont be decimating your couponing!

Does anyone know if Home Bargains accept vouchers?

Are you saying that you usually purchase the supermarkets home brand because they are cheaper, if so you will find that buy using coupons and keep following this thread you will be able to buy "premium branded goods".

The knack is to combine offers with coupons, for example (hypothetical) you can find coupons for 40p off Comfort in Evans at the moment, so if Comfort were on offer buy one get one free for say £1 you could use 2 coupons therefore £1 - 2x 40p = 20p for 2 bottles of Comfort.

There have been loads of these sort of offers in the past couple of years allowing us to store up certain items all above board - Domestos 24 hr bleach for 14p, free bottles of Flash etc etc.

There is also times when the item is on offer for cheaper than the coupon scans for so you also get money off the rest of your shopping. A good example of this was the aqua mist spray coupon which scanned at £2.99 and was often on offer in supermarkets for £1.50, so £1.49 off the rest of your shopping
If any of us see these kind of offers we post the details on here.
Be thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)

I'm amazed at the number of people who have pointed out "don't abuse vouchers" at the "newbies".

Feels tantamount to being sent to the "naughty corner" before we've even begun.

I'm a recent newbie, started here around Feb (?)...maybe March. A lot of the people here have a vast amount of experience in couponning who are very willing to help and generously share with the rest of us. So, the advice about not abusing vouchers comes from wanting to protect you as well as the coupons. Believe me, it's not always an easy ride, just handing over a coupon! People have fought for our right to use coupons and to be assertive when shopping. Sharing and encouraging on here as they go. I'm a very different person from the passive shopper I once was and it also made me take on DTD which I would have passed by.

I don't want to sound like it's not fun, because it is, so will shut up :rotfl:I love it and the savings it brings and means I can have branded items for the same or cheaper than store brand. Sometimes free.

Huge thanks to all on here, I have grown to really care about you. :T:A:T:A:T (OK enough of the mush, it must be the wedding that got to me! ;)
