Well......That was a bit surreal, got home to find Velvet on the phone to the OH apologising for sending the letter regarding the £100 win and saying that as I had only played once on the day of the win that they will be sending me my cheque now and that the letter was sent out in error......Lovely young lady sounded very stressed and reiterated that the FB page and Velvet were not the same and they were trying to sort out the mess....Suppose it's a good job I'm not ex directory - I will believe it when I see it but she did say that loads of people had played over 1000 times and one had played over 6000 times! Most of my 130 was probably in the few days when we were all blocked and I was trying dozens of times a day until I twigged that it was over 24 hours since I played and I wasn't going mad!

I still think that most problems were started when the FB entry said it was OK to play more than once per day though

Think I'll stop playing anyhoo until the cheque arrives, don't wanna win big only to be massively disappointed again but then again it has been a lesson learnt, if something seems too good to be true it probably is unless it's DTD of course

yes i had the same call earlier today...... as i posted earlier on the other thread, mine on its way ..... so lets wait and see told sent first class today ......:D:j think it might be all those that got letter saying you wont get win but only played 1 time that day .......

Good news there m4rtin....what a mess.....dawnie are you getting yours then?........surely no-one can have hundreds of email addresses, How can they have entered as many times as that??

How on earth can it be regulated at 1 entry per pack....how will they know each day it is the same pack or not?....they ain't psychic...or are they?

probably wrote a program that did it for them automatically! and probably created email addresses with a number that increased each time to cover it. Oh there's ways and means if you are so inclined :mad:

ok, that is twice people have said the FB page is not affiliated to them, but how does the person running the FB page have so much information? phone numbers etc and why are they saying about receipts and stuff, and individual claims? how would they know about them? and why would they try to private message Dr Who-who about her remarks for her receipts back?

I may be wrong but I wouldnt be in too much hurry to do this as in my opinion the fact that they are willing to do this suggests to me that they think that if some of the claims were pursued, Velvet would not win. If they returned forms, packaging postage this will be in full and final settlement, how annoying would it be to find out then that they do have to pay out.

I am not saying that you are incorrect but just wait a bit and see how it pans out.

I'm being very polite on Facebook and trying very hard to get answers to all my questions...they are replying everytime I ask a question, I then thank them....some of the posts have been very amusing but they do not rise to the bait and just ignore a lot of them.....if you get your promo stuff back, will you be able to use it to enter again? Or do you think it might have been marked 'USED' ...? The only point I'm unclear about now is the only one not answered on FB.....if I enter and win £1 on Monday and do not claim it, then enter again on Tuesday and win £5....will I get the £1 or the £5....anyone know the answer ???I ask this as some peeps have posted before that they only got £1 when they had sent claims in for £5 or £10.....TIA

sounds interesting about the velvet,i only entered twice on seperate days but they seem to be working on a 24 hr clock,so this might cost me my winnings i do hope not as i could really do with the cash just now:(
