i am sure that they all think i am a bit mad though! endless stream of people in and out of the house as i have lodgers!
OMG I hoover outside the front door and the doorstep - I am too lazy to go round the back to get a sweeping brush so when I am hoovering the hall I whip the nozzle off and get all the rose leaves/mat hairs/doorstep paint flakes up:eek:
We laid some turf down last year and had to water it every day - within seconds the girls had their clothes off and were outside under it, in October (they were only three though;)).
OH has also been known to cut our lawn / hedge at 9pm - we both work and have kids so sometimes it's the only time we can get jobs done :-/
I hoovered the car at 11pm one night - I did shut the hoover in the car with me though so the noise wouldn't disturb anyone, again it was the only time I could find to do it and my car was DIRE!
Oh dear - think we are oddball neighbours :-O
I wonder what they thought of us when we got our two hens, OH let them out on the first day for ten minutes before work and we then had to knock one off the top of the greenhouse with a broom and retrieve the other from a neighbours garden - we thought they had got out of the gate as I had left it open not knowing they were out and was worried they had gone onto the street, I was running up and down in my PJ's shouting 'come on chicky chicks' !!!0 -
We had neighbours selling drugs for a while. And we've had a cannibis factory busted too (few doors down). But mostly I object to newly installed stone cladding which is far more criminal IMHOArmchair shopper and cook - albeit with a ready meal on my lap and "plates of meat" in a foot spa!!!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0

I had some neighbours housed in a BTL by the council.
The daughter was just learning to speak and amusingly kept saying what sounded like 'chavdad!' when her grandfather was visiting. We spent the whole summer loudly repeating this.
Quite a few of my neighbours have stupid yappy dogs. Whenever I walk past and they sound off, I shout "JESUS CHRIST!" as loudly as a can.
As soon as there's a sunny day, some neighbours start playing shi**y pop music from radios in the back garden. I drag out my sound system as blast out Old Skool rave anthems at silly loud volumes.
Some of my 'tard neighbours 'toot-toot' their car horn for no reason. I rev-up my car and leave two long stripes from wheel-spin, gravel flies about everywhere pinging off their paintwork!
My motto is "if neighbours give trouble, they get it back double"0 -
ha ha love these stories we live next to someone with a serious case of ocd
washes his car in the rain
has cut the grass in the snow in the middle of winter
if any neighbour or ourselves are having anything done i dread it because we know were in for a load of banging ect while he coppies what were doing (i sometimes tell him were going to do something eg re plaster the celings and then laugh while he rushes to get a plaster in to do his )
he will even start hoovering if he hears our hoover
he also likes to get his washing on the line before us and will hand wash something just to show us hes put his out first (this has caused endless fun because sometimes i get up early to beat him lol )
worringly though he seems to have a bad temper (with his wife who is a mouse of a lady ) and we can hear him pounding up and down the stairs shouting about things like cleaning the bath , ironing the clothes ect you can tell he is furious and beyond himself and i sometimes fear for her safety
i have thought about reporting him to the police - but guess what he is the police -worring isntit !!0 -
My neighbour (70 years old) came home from an evening out and, with the front door open, widdled over his garden to save the cost of a flush.0

I have one neighbour who uses a flymo to trim his hedges. Looks really bizarre but gives a nice finish.0

I had no idea there are so many weirdos out there. Thankfully my current neighbours are great but I have had some belters over the years. If you always do what you have always done, you will always get what you always got!0 -
My neighbour over the road got busted for possession/dealing not so long ago - apparently they were hiding the goods in the children's bedroom ... Have to say that they were probably the world's most unsubtle dealers though - there were cars permanently parked on the double yellows outside their house and every dodgy looking car slows down and beeps their horn as they go past.
She also works in a pub (we think lol) and comes home every night at 1 am. I wouldn't mind but the car that drops her off is revving and she's usually a bit loud and tipsy, so all we hear is 'No, it's late and I've gotta be QUIET!! BYE!!!'. Then there's the ten minutes while she stumbles up the steps, drops her keys and trips over the dog ...
My neighbour to the left is really odd - every morning at about seven am he throws two or three plastic bottles out of his back bedroom window on to the patio below. I think they're usually empty but I have no idea why he does this. If he's recycling them then that goes from the front of the house anyway so he still has walk downstairs, pick them up (he chucks them quite far) and carry them to the front. Very strange. They also still have the old outside loo and you quite often see him disappearing in there with the paper.0 -
after reading all this I feel i've got quite normal neighbours! though last year in the summer the eldest son and the step dad did erect a swing set at 1am talking loudly to each other. At 3am they still hadnt finished and hubby was on earlies (5am start) so he went outside to ask WHEN they would be finished as he really needed some sleep. They said 'oh sorry mate its for our brandons birthday tomorrow, and we didnt want him to see it' What I still dont understand to this day is that 'Their Brandon' went to bed at 8pm so what were they doing for the 5hrs afterwards :rotfl: and yes they did keep chatting and building it till just before 4amSPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £225/£10000
