gally - you will be pleased to know that as part of my "keeping it real" element, the tin of sprouts remains in the cupboard.....

chev - as for writing as much as I do - most of it is entirely irrelevant, a load of squit (as they say round here) and about the state of my housework/clutter/car not working.......it is hardly Marion Keyes or Dan Brown, so I wouldn't put yourself down too much over it :rotfl:

So, today......no football due to it being international week, so will catch the match between England and Wales somehow, and also the Boatrace - Come on Cambridge!! Cricket too.....hmm, can't see myself moving much today then!

I also need to buy DS some new school trousers and a new ski helmet, which we will do this afternoon.

Washing and ironing will also be the order of the weekend, but I have some fabby friends visiting tomorrow afternoon who haven't been to the new house before, so I don't want to end up with piles of drying washing or ironing piles all over the place....

And I need to do a long long run tomorrow.......only 3 weeks til marathon day

Hi Hypno, I am pleased to see that you have moved home virtually as well as in reality. Onwards and Upwards as they say. Feels a bit like the three musketeers around here, except there are lots and lots of followers.

Happy new diary I am subscribed.

I have to admit, cheri, that I didn't realise just how much had changed in the course of the last diary.....it was quite a shock when I read back!!

So yes, onwards and upwards.......and coffee time. Some things remain a constant :rotfl:

ok question 1 as I'm not sure which direction to take:

when you were clearing your debt, did you throw everything at it and add big spends like car insurance etc to the credit card or did you start saving for the big spends from day 1 and only clear what was left over off the debt? My dilema is whether to put say £50 a month into saving pot for car expenses and pay less off debt each month or just try and clear debt asap before saving.

Question 2 - I read a little about your envelopes. What are they for and how do you stop youself dipping into them for other things, also do you do them weekly or for the month?
