Orange late payment mark on my credit file!

Hi guys

I took out an orange sim only contract in store and the salesmen signed me up for home broadband without my consent. I subsequently received a letter stating i hadn't paid my bill and the account was now overdue (the first i heard about it) i've since had the account closed and it should be on orange's account notes that i reported this as wrong doing on their behalf.
Is there a way i can have this late payment mark removed?

All advice appreciated

    Yes, there is.

Telephone Orange and ask for the address of the Credit Referrals Team, they will be able to take the flag off for you.

Had a similar problem 18 months back.

Cheers i'll give it a try
  • Hi capitaine,

Sorry to hear of the problems you have had. The Credit Referrals Team aren't a customer facing Team so your more than likely going to be given the address to write to. If you haven't already called CS here is the Credit Referrals address:
    Orange Credit Referral Department
    Top Floor Global House
    Senhouse Road
    Darlington
    County Durham
    DL1 4YB

They may need a copy of your credit file and a brief explanation of how the default came to be applied.

    Hope this helps!
