    The main issue is that both the gas meters run independant. So i can get my own reading and they can downstairs but when the readings are taken to get the actual bill they go by there one. All i need to know is it legal for them to do this and charge business rate gas, and if the meters are independant should we receive our own gas bill form british gas.

    Why does this matter?
    Sure, it's not ideal, but do you have reason to believe that either meter isn't accurate?
