Oil,Gas,Electric, which is most cost efficient to the ordinary householder?

I am very interested to find out if it is cheaper to heat a conservatory with off peak electric, or fit a radiator to the existing central heating system initially ignoring the actual cost to install.
Has anyone completed a output of energy comparision on oil cost per unit of heat as against oil or gas costs per unit.
I don't know if it is actually possible, may-be there is a technic out there who has gone through this process and would like to share their knowlodge

There are a few questions you need to ask yourself first

How often are you going to use/ be in the conservatory?
    how well insulated is it?
    how big is it?
Is the conservatory south facing north or east West.
