You haven't seen my car. A yard brush wouldn't hurt it.
Having said that, I've had jet washes strip the paint off, (well, off the rust anyway), and a jet wash that will strip the mastic out of the seals on my motorhome bodywork.0 -

Bad times. Good luck sorting it out - as someone who had to pay for a knife gash next the drivers key hole knows, repairs are an expensive business0

Today I used a carwash and it too went mad - It was at the end of the wash cycle - the bit when the machine comes down to blow air to dry the vehicle - as the blower approached the rear of the vehicle the blower mechanism failed to raise up to roof level and instead started to pound on the rear of the vehicle breaking the back window. Obviously I quickly got out the vehicle to try to stop the machinery but I too found it difficult to find the emergency stop button - it wasn't clearly marked but at least it did work when I eventually found it. I have used this carwash many times and it previously did close both back and front shutters but after a recent overhaul it only closes the front shutters thus making emergency exiting easy - never-the-less it was a frightening experience. No more mechanical washes for me - next time its an Albanian special " hand job"0
