Well, I feel bad for the OP, you must be gutted!!
But this is a great advert for my old sponge and bucket technique!“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

My brother in law once had am interesting experience with an automated car wash with a company car. The big brush came whipping up the back of the car, took out the back window and filled the interior with suds, covering him as well. He had to sit there until it went over the front, then came back and rinsed him and the interior of the car with cold water. Compensation was paid with no argument for drying out and valeting the car interior and a new suit, shirt and shoes for him.0

Most Car Washes of this type have disclaimers attached which state that the Petrol Station will not be liable for any damage caused to vehicles. However, I think that might be restricted to the odd numpty that leaves their aerial errected...:j0

They're not legal.
No notice of this type ever removes any of the customers rights.
If the car wash is faulty, or the owners are negligent, they are responsible.0 -

A few years ago now my business partner had the door mirror taken off his car at the local carwash that had all those type of signs in place, they paid without arguing once the witnesses had been spoken to and the CCTV had been viewed to confirm the events.Remember kids, it's the volts that jolt and the mills that kill.0 -
I also feel very sorry for the OP, none of this was their fault, yet the OP was given a hard time by some posters on here.
I hope that it all ends well for the OP.0 -
sit back relax, your insurance will sort it. dont use automated car washed your paintwork will suffer they allways scratch a cars paintwork, causing swurl marks and light scratches. use jet wash next time that way you dont scratch car up if you use just the lance and not a brush confuses me as to people wouldnt use a soft household brush to clean the car but when it cones to jet wash they do and think its fine!! lol just imagine the stones in that brush scraping hard allong all your car!!0

There's no problem posting pictures of your car up on here. It's your car, and if you want to take pics and share them it's up to you, it won't prejudice anything. Feel free to avoid posting the reg number though.Yes but I hope you'll appreciate I can't show them til my insurance is all sorted, they say it'll probably go to court which I really hope it doesn't.
I invite you to post them up for no other purpose than to get opinions on how much it would cost to fix (for curiousity's sake) and for no other reason whatsoever.0
