Would you report someone you knew for benefit fraud?

Personally, I think i would write her an anonymous letter saying that in ie 2 weeks time you will be informing the benefits agency of her fraud, just to give her time to stop herself, and if she didnt i would report her. I would only give her the time to sort it, to stop the stress this would cause her children.
Sure i will be slated now.
So how much time would you give her to pay back the money she has taken from me?0 -

don't you have the head of benefit fraud's email address Sir Marcus? :rotfl:
Yep I do but dmg24 beat me in providing some of the info !;):rotfl:
OP can also try emailing alambridesl@parliament.uk, graylingc@parliament.uk, webbs@parliament.uk, millerm@parliament.uk and/or freudd@parliament.uk.:rotfl:
But I don't mind doing it if the OP gives me the details !!;):rotfl:0 -
report it everytime, not really a question to ask! at the end of the day...THIEF!!!!0

I never understand why there is any question - if she were taking cash out of someone's purse, people wouldn't hesitate at branding her a thief. But I do admit that if it were someone I cared for I would warn them first (I am not that strong), but I would also demand they pay some money to charity to make up for it, but I would report them if they didn't then stop claiming - thievery is thievery.0

With this being something being reported to a government department i would say this is one time when going to the top first would just mean nothing got done about it.0 -

So to make things right you would make the thief give some of the stolen money to a charity to absolve them of their guilt? what if we the taxpayer dont want our cash to go to charity?Be Alert..........Britain needs lerts.0 -
She has 2 kids and is claiming as a single person but her boyfriend lives with her and he is on good money. Now his wage is more a week than all my money put together from my wage my working tax credit and child tax credit. She gets all her rent and council tax paid and she is down the school saying she never goes out or never got any money, now she goes out every weekend and when she has bought something new all her friends knows about it.
I'm all for people getting benefits they actually deserve but in this situation IMO I don't think it's fair to people that are struggling like myself.
So, would you report them or would you just let it slide?
Has she actually told you herself what she is getting, or are you just making assumptions?
If you know she is committing fraud, then report her, but don't do it, if you are just guessing WHAT she is claiming, and how much she is getting.
LinYou can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset.0 -
