Is it patched with https://www.windowsupdate.com, and free from viruses and malware?

Is it still under warranty? Mine was doing that for a long time, and I finally managed to persuade the manufacturer to send someout to look at it - he decided it was a bad hard disk, so just changed it for me (I'd already backed up, obviously!). That was 3 years ago, and haven't had a problem since.
I'd agree with bat999 - backup, reformat, and do a clean install. If you're still having problems, dig out your warranty details and see if you've still got cover.0 -
I have done a full scan for Virus and Malware, none found.
Now my lastest error ends in 4e and I looked this up on Google. It indicates a driver problem. Would some kind person please guide me through updating my Drivers (in simple terms).
ps, I did an audit of my PC, using Belarc Advisor, and I have updated an audio driver, Realtek AC97. Is there any other drivers I need to update?0
