anyone got a sony ericson x-10 mini pro?

Good evening, i was wondering if anyone had the above phone, I purchased this phone a couple of weeks ago and the battery life was appauling lasting only 4 hours after a full charge with no use! I returned it and got a replacement but its still the same! It lasts 6 hours at most with no use of the android system, just literarly switched on, maybe 1-2 text messages.

I swapped over my original memory card and sim card, is there any way they could be draining the battery, on the review it states the battery life is 11.8 days!!!! mine does not even manage the 0.8 days!!!

can anyone tell me if this is normal for this phone? thanks Lianne x

Make sure the GPS (sat nav feature) and WIFI are off, these drag tthe battery down real quick, if these are off it does seem odd that the battery is losing charge so quickly.

I have the non-pro version of the Sony X10 Mini, and its battery lasts 2-3 days of light use.

There is no way on this earth the battery is going to last you 11.8 days unless you disable just about every app & feature going, and the phone doesn't make or receive a call in that time.

As far as the battery draining in 4 hours goes, you need to configure the phone correctly to suit your needs.
The X10 has a built in instruction manual in the menu, as well as a demo video on how to use it.

I have the Sony Ericsson Xperix x10 Mini Pro (loooong title for a phone! :eek:). GPS and WI-FI tend to eat up the battery life. I can get 2-3 days out of my phone when not using it heavily. I think the battery problems are related to all the models and not just faulty ones.

thanks every one! i took it into o2 today and they checked out all my settings for me and they recon its faulty, i have the gps and wifi switched off and today it laster a whole 3 hours with 4 texts sent!!! its driving me crazy! gonna get in touch and see if i can return it and get a refund, ive only had it 8 days!

I have this phone and don't have any probs with the battery life. Hope you can get a refund!

really? this is the second i have had, how long does yours last? an is it the mini pro? with the slide out keyboard? i have not installed any apps on it! ive not even activated the timescape!

If you have had 2 faulty handsets in succession then that is incredibly unlucky.
Have you checked that the handsets you are being given have the latest OS installed?
