Pregnant student needs to raise £400

Before end of July. I've realised I will have a shortfall of rent in August whilst I am waiting for housing benefit to come through and child tax credits to start appearing once Joshua is born.
So I have signed up to lots of survey sites!
I just need to raise as much as possible but I need to try to do it without spending anything

Are you working at the moment, even part-time? will you receive smp?
Maybe take a look on the benefits board to make sure you will get everything you are entitled to!
other that that, do you have anything you could ebay?
Vivatic is a fairly new survey site and they pay via paypal, I have been able to accrue approx £10 every 1 or 2 weeks.
Good luck

Unfortunately my last job ended in December, it was temp and I had swine flu :S
The agency I worked for have phoned me a few times with new jobs and never gotten back to me after sending my CV off, its a habit of theirs. I think its got to the point now where I won't be able to get a new job as I am nearly 23 weeks pregnant, I can't stand up for extended periods of time either. I have applied to work at asda as sitting at a checkout wouldn't be too bad but am slightly confused as to whether I'd need to notify them of the pregnancy etc. I'm 3 weeks away from being eligble for maternity allowance.
So I am trying to find home work and bits and bobs. I know its never going to be a massive amount. I will get benefits once Joshua is born but at the moment I can't. As I have to live by myself for obvious reasons I have to rent a place by myself, my student loan in April doesn't reflect this, its not till September when I am a mother that it increases to compensate!Money money money.

Wishing you the best of luck. I'm 36 wks and have been suffering with SPD for a long while now, it does make walking and standing very very difficult - even sitting is no fun sometimes is it?
Check the survey thread on the main site here for lots you can sign up for, if you have plenty of spare time it is a way to make some money (altho not tons) also agree about Ebay - have you got anything you can put on there?
All the best for the rest of your pregnancy,

Hi,
I'm sorry I can't advise on whether or not you need to inform potential employers.
How far through your studies are you? - Are you at Uni or college? If Uni, have you already contacted the student welfare office to see aboout a hardship loan or grant?
Have you had a look at the "up your income" thread - could you do Avon or virgin Vie type work - effectively you would be working for yourself doing parties, selling to friends, colleagues, neighbours, local community etc.
Also, have a good clear out and sell what you no longer use, can live without - clothes, nic naks etc (try e-bay/car boot), books, CD'd, DVD'd etc (try amazon), bigger heavier things (maybe try gumtree)also as you are a student see if you could get tutoring work (either school level GCSE's or A-levels in your area of study), if college/uni books (try the local boards of your college/uni department). Or else try colleges, and uni's for other departmental work that may be available to students on a casual basis, like running seminars, exam invigilating, exam/coursework marking etc
You should be okay to work for temping agencies - register with all the companies in the area that you are in - you may get just a day or two here and there covering staff off sick (they may not offer you longer term work if you do have to tell potential employers - I'm not sure on this, perhapse contact ACAS: http://www.acas.org.uk/index.aspx?articleid=1461 for advice).
Also, what are the survey sites that you have signed up to? Try Onepoll, vivatic, valued opinions, harris poll, Yougov, IPSOS, MySurvey, Global Test Market, and also register for the cashback sites - Totalcashback, onepoll, Quidco (there are others, but these are the ones I use)
Other than that I have no oter ideas

Hi,
I was just thinking, A girl I used to work with had SPD and her Dr said she was unable to work so she received sickness benefits (ESA), not sure if that would apply if you are a tudent though, but she got help with her rent etc.
Also you could be entitled to a grant to buy baby essentials ( not sure what it's called)
Definitely get over to the benefits board and see what they can advise!

I am hoping that as I cant get the maternity allowance (not worked enough weeks~) I may be able to get esa, It says somewhere you sometimes can. I am actually going to apply for maternity allowance anyway because if you don't qualify you get automatically considered. I just have to work out what date I need to apply from! I've got most of my payslips I think somewhere
I'm going to try all the survey sites and have a look at tutoring as its gcse season!Money money money.

I have a few books I potentially could sell shall have to look into it! I was going to trade my xbox in but its not worth it compared to the cost and I use it as a dvd player. I DO have a lot of clothes I could potentially sell from when I was thinner, I don't expect to fit them I think it will take a while to lose the baby weight! I should really go through the 3 suitcases upstairs.....
I've also got a Olympus DM550 which is a voice recorder, you know like "journalists" use. Its worth about £150 I got it through disabled student allowance but haven't used it. However I may use it in my 3rd year so not sure whether to keep it or not.
I think I'll start listing shoes and clothes on ebay, can't exactly wear my heels anymore! I just don't know the most successful way to sell :SMoney money money.
