Sorry haven't any helpful suggestions (yet!) but trying to sort out my 16 year old daughter at the moment, so just wanted to say what a great idea for a thread.0

My youngest daughters prom was 2 years ago. We looked locally and she saw some lovely full gowns but they were all £3oo Plus. We went on ebay and we bought one from China, it was beautiful, made to measure, choice of colour. Must admit when we first got it out and it was crumpled werent sure, we hired a hoop to go under it. It cost £78 including delivery. The following year 3 people asked to buy it.0

Keep an eye on ebay in general - I have a university ball coming up and I bought a gorgeous floor length debenhams one for less than £20 including postage and a knee length Lipsy one for £8 (I'm very indecisive!).0 -
have you thought about charity shops , you could always tell him it's eBay , I bought my hubby a Ferued Paris suit there for £7.99 it's worth £300 , he also had a Hugo boss one years back that was about a tenner , they always have loads of suits in , oxfam even have special wedding shops , maybe worth seeing if you have one near.MSE- The Glitchhikers guide to the galaxy

What a brilliant idea for a new thread!
My son wants a very dark grey suit, he's just so fussy about designer makes as are most of his mates! I'll definitely be keeping an eye on any bargains!
I feel for all of you that have girls coz I know dresses, accessories, hair etc all cost a fortune!
It's my daughters prom in 2 years so I'd better get saving lol

Fantastic Idea!
My son has a Prom at the end of June. He wants a Tux, he said he could hire but I would rather buy if I can get a good deal & then sell it on afterwards! He's 6' tall & a mens size so fingers crossed I will be able to find a bargin!
Dx****Everything comes to those who wait......it just seems like I have been waiting forever!****0 -
