My son has now decided he IS going to the school prom, which is at the end of June.. which gives me plenty of time to find a bargin 'white suit' for him ( unless he changes his mind and wants something else...lol...)
I know if i leave it, then it going to be manic, and i will have to pay top prices, and thats if i am going to be able to get hold of one..
So i thought i would start a thread for all of us parents who are going to have to 'kit' our kids out for this special night..
If anyone comes across any bargins which would be ideal for prom gear, please post it here..
Sorry if i have posted this on the wrong board, but i thought the grabbit board would be ok, as near to the time people will want to 'grab' the prom bargins...

Great idea. Keep an eye on Debenhams they have a half price sale at the moment. I got my dress there when i had my prom, nearly 4 years go though lol! And the next sale starts on Saturday, according to my local store. And alot of people I know got dresses/suits from TK Maxx, though I do find they are very hit or miss0

Yup. My son wants a suit from Moss Bros, £99 with 2 free shirts, which is quite a good deal. Basic dark great slim fit suit that he can use for 6th form next year & job interviews in the summer.
I may also have a poke around TK Maxx to see what they have as he is an odd size, so may get lucky. He's like a tall skinny beanpole with monkey arms. LolNoli nothis permittere te terere

If you're an oddsize TK MAXX is great. I'm pretty average in shoe and dress size so i don't get lucky. One of my friends is a size 4/6 and shoe size 3 and always manages to get great deals.
£99 for suit with shirts is a great deal though!0 -

I brought my ds a suit from bargain crazy the other week, it was a real bargain. Not white though. Would be worth keeping your own on bargain crazy site though.0

Its worth trying Primark if you are on a really tight budget black slim fit jacket £19 trousers to match £6 they also had shirt and bow tie
also Bargain crazy.com have suit jackets for £6.99(not white) and not in all sizes but you might get lucky
My son and his mates are all going for black suits and sunglasses so Its not too hard to get a bargain
