EDF Online Saver 7 - HELP!

Hi,

I signed up for EDF Online Saver 7 around Nov - Dec 10.

I received my first gas bill today and I am not sure I am on the correct tariff.

It says "Dual Fuel Gast Tariff", on my bill nothing about online saver 7.

Is it supposed to say this?

What are the rates for online saver 7?

I have first 631 @ 7.000p, next 4458 @ 2.891p and first 1258 @ 3.353p.

Standing charge 6 dec to 21 mar 11 £0.00
Standing charge 2 mar to 21 mar £3.75

Could anybody help?

Give them a call. It sounds wrong.
  • They prices are EDF Standard Tariff, You have to call EDF and get them to amend the tariff prices everyone has had this problem. In EDF's T&Cs they say they may bill you on standard for a period before putting you on OS7 prices however EDF legal team declared this was unfair and if you call the customer service they will amend it for your and re-bill you.

Their excuse is, a major upgrade of their computer system. Seems everything has gone to pot . .

The computer system at EDF is a joke, online saver 7, but you can't actually sign up for an online account!

So.... I rang them on the 26th, they were supposed to be issuing new bill backdated on correct tariff.

Received a bill yesterday, dated 28th, but this only has the correct meter readings (as they had used estimates, so I gave correct readings on 25th).

Rang to check my balance and it is as the bill from 28th, but this is calculated using the wrong tariff, not online saver 7.

Has anyone had a similar experience to this, how long does it take for them to put you on correct tariff and issue a correct bill?

I think I am just going to have to ring them again.

    - Rang them, sending another bill. :rotfl:

Ok, I think my gas bill is correct now.

I haven't actually received a paper bill to check it yet, but the amount seems correct when I ring the automated service.

I am not sure what is happening with my electric though. The bill that was sent out by EDF was only for 1 day, being the first day I switched to them. So I received a bill showing my first meter reading and it only went to the next day, say 23rd November 2010 - 24th November 2010.

I am not worried as I pay by DD, but I don't understand their billing process at all. At the moment I am in credit, but no real bill has ever been issued yet?

I am confused with all of this now. Hopefully it will just be these first bills I will be experiencing problems with!
