  • as the others have said, bubble wrap, and box it. I make boxes from bigger boxes by cutting them down.

    Only things I send in mailing bags/sacks are clothes.

    Same here. Smaller boxes you can get free - I get them down the beauty isles at Tesco (or any other supermarket) when they're putting out the shampoos etc and before they flatten them. Also when I was at the garden centre the other day they had piles of plain small/med boxes to take (originally contained biscuits, sweets kind of thing so nice and clean). Will definately grab a load more when I'm there.

    I'm really sad, I've actually been buying small boxes from ebay as I sell a lot of smaller glass and china things. The largest ones I buy are big enough to take a good sized mug or cup and saucer and cost me under 20p a go. I reckon that as a business seller it made more sense for me to sell more items rather than sell fewer and spend time making boxes.

    However for larger items i do use boxes that I recycle from elsewhere or my OH makes them up for me.
