Hi all, just seeing if anyone has had a similar issue before trying to get some answers from 3.
Last spring, I bought a mobile on 3. Chuffed with the free 3 to 3 calls aspect, when DD#3 asked for a mobile for her birthday at the end of August, we went for 3. No issues with either of these, both are on the free 3to3 tarrif.
Start of Sept, DD2's birthday- bought her a 3mobile too, so the three of us could keep in touch when she had no credit left, and she could also use Skype. Website was showing the same deal as before.
Problem 1; Her phone arrives, and initially gets free 3to3, no problem. However, sometime around christmas this changed. It would appear they changed tarriffs sometime in Sept.
Problem 2: She recieved a text two days ago saying that from April, her phone would no longer support Skype, call this number, we have reserved a cheap phone for you.
So the two reasons we went for the network no longer exist. It's PAYG, not contract by the way- damn frustrating.
Anyone had any similar experiences? Thanks in advance.

We have a couple of "3" phones in the family, just for the reason you give.
As far as I can tell 3 to 3 calls are still free on these.
The key thing is what tariff you are on. Unless you opt to change, as far as I know, you remain on the tariff you started on.
My phones are on 3Pay.
From the "3" website...
"If you joined us between June 2009 and September 2010 you’ll be on our 3Pay tariff. Our new tariff is Pay As You Go on Three."
and....
"All about 3Pay.
With 3Pay you'll get free texts, free internet and free Three-to-Three calls every time you top-up. You get this free stuff, which last for 90 days, on top of your credit."
Assuming all your phones are on 3 Pay, have they all been topped up within 90 days ?
I spend little on calls but use the data when out and abou with my laptop or other devices using bluetooth tethering so I top up by £5 (on the phone) about every 2 or 3 months. Phone home as much as I want for free.

Insist replacement be like for like in specs as removal from a certain handset is not removal of Skype product - email Executive.Office@three.co.ukSO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe

Thanks for the replies everyone- I went off to play sailors & forgot I'd posted. Now off up to Stoke, it was a planned trip but I've just had a call with some bad news- SIL has just passed away so there will be a funeral to attend sadly too.
Just found my print screen from the order- it was ordered on Aug 28th, but might not have been activated until Sept 19th (her birthday) will get onto 3 when I get back.
Oh and yes- hers is topped up monthly.DTD...Dreading The Detox.0
