Amended tax credit award help

Hi all
Having a bit of trouble working out an award I received today for the period 30/11/2009- 05/04/2010.
When it comes to child tax credit it says...
amount to be paid £1747.52
payments already made £880.64
Amount due to you £866.88
I rang them up and got an unhelpful lady who just kept saying that this award notice is to show you what you received for that period.
But it is also showing me what I have not received.
I have not received this payment, but am I entitled to it?

The tax credit award I received at that time (5/4/2010) says it paid me the full amount and nothing was due. why send this new one now in 2011?

Yes it should just go into your bank as a lump sum, there should be a part on it telling you payments, expected amounts and dates although lump sum payments aren't normally shown.Credit Card: £796 Left/£900 October 2011 :eek:Store Card: £100 October 2011

Thanks, I never received a lump sum, should I ring again and see if I get someone a bit more helpful. I have trouble trying to explain to them but the lady I got today just wasn't interested in me trying to explain that I have not received £866.88.

What did the award you got at the time say? How much did you actually get paid?0

It says that I got the full amount for that period. I have rang up again and a new lady says that she cannot tell me why this amended letter has been sent out as my account is up to date and no payments are due.

Yes but what was the full amount? Has that changed between the two letters? Or has just the amounts already paid & amount due changed?
Ie what has changed, the award or what they think you've been paid.
And what were you actually paid?0 -
Full amount £1747.52 is the same on both letters
(dated 18 may 2010) One letter I have been paid the full amount, nothing is due
(dated 18 march 2011)Second letter They have paid £880.64 and owe me £866.88
I am now working out what I have been paid0 -
My bank statements for that period show I have been paid £1555.06 so they don't owe me £866.880

But they do owe you nearly £200 by the looks of it. You didn't get a lump sum in May time at the renewal did you? If not get them to sort it out - probably best writing to them.0 -
No I didn't get a lump sum, I will ring again tomorrow then write a letter too.
Thanks for your help

Is there an issue date on the letter? It seems like it may be a copy of a letter you've already had, or a letter you should have had at the time but wasn't issued.0
