Christmas really doesn't have to be expensive. The only important meal is Christmas dinner and that can be done easily on a budget. When I was a child, chicken was a great treat for Christmas day.0

ONLY fifty quid?!?!?! It's only a glorified Sunday roast with pudding for goodness' sake!

Christmas Dinner is just like a Sunday Dinner but with more veg and pigs in blankets.
My Christmas dinner meat is a Leg of Lamb which was free with the Tesco DTD.So a very cheap Dinner for us.Debt Free Date:10/09/2007 :j :money:0 -
I don't think our lunch is going to cost £50!
Celeriac soup for starters, Sunday lunch with pigs in blankets and turkey (crown £12 or maybe bird in bird £9.99) and then HM mince pies and Ice-cream (99p Aldi) That is going to feed 8 people (two of them little ones) I know I won't be spending £50 but will watch with interest as I always do with these kind of programmes. I always hope to learn something new but never sem to do0 -

Sorry, didn't mean to offend you. I think you'll find the discussion on here will have a very different emphasis to the one you mentioned... don't throw the string away. You always need string!
