I'm not sure I'll watch again next week, as far as I'm concerned they haven't helped a family who are actually in the real world yet!!! Tonight's family are living on a redundancy package of £3,000 A MONTH for god's sake!0

I didn't see it last week as I forgot (in much the same way as I forgot to tape Spiral on Saturday) but I have to say I was mostly disappointed. As one of my friends has just said to me over the ether "do people not know how much they're overspending by what they've got left?" and what a surprise the children liked the HM goodies (although they looked a bit confused at the concept of a savings jar). I liked the "proper" MSE tips but to be quite honest they were few and far between....and introducing the concept of a shopping list, that was priceless. She'd had probably fainted at a menu plan :rotfl:But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green0

I have a feeling that this programme is being taken over by under cover conservative 'frugal' people who wouldnt know how to live on the minimum wage if it bit them on the btm!
I hope someone tells the lady to put her raw meat on the bottom shelf of her fridge before she gives them all food poisoning!
BTW, I only put a couple of spoons of porridge in my mince NOT A WHOLE PACKET!!!!Save £12k in 2012 no.49 £10,250/£12,000

my daughter is disgusted that they turned their noses up at the 'minimum wage pocket money' of £5+ per week...she said 'we get WAY less than that! lol!Save £12k in 2012 no.49 £10,250/£12,000

Both DH and I were hooting at the TV over this one. The combination of 'Lady Muck' andMrs Moneypenny drove me around the bend.
And why are the ordinary moneysavers all of a certain age? They're being represented as eccentric oldies, not sensible people, especially with that bl--y music and presentation of their segments.
I also miss Alvin Hall - I wish he was still doing financial programmes.Surviving the ups and downs of life with DH
