Just to make sure - you haven't contributed to an ISA this tax year (so from April 6th 2010) yet have you?0

nope... havent got any ISAs at all but looking to make use of them in the future.
Whats the maximum I could put in before the tax year is up?
I have heard Nationwide are very good... are they? Anyone better?0 -

This tax year the max is £5100 into a Cash ISA.
I would recommend either Barclays (3.25%) or Santander (3.3%) ISA's :j0 -
That sounds good.
Thanks for your advice.
Any reason other than higher rated to choose those over nationwide?
I have a Nationwide account from when i was a teenager... only have a book for it with a few quid in.
I see from their website that you can only get their e-ISA if you have an account with a card.0 -

The rate is pretty much the deal clincher here, but Barclays also offer good customer service from my experience so that might double up to be a good choice. Santander seem to have poor service according to many posts on this forum!
I would say that there is no point in being loyal to Nationwide, look elsewhere and make your money work harder for you, you will enjoy the better interest rates :j0
