1) Where's the best deal on sim free Desire S at this time please?
Thinking of combining this with Giffgaff

2) What's the best deal for Desire S on pay monthly, light user, 200 min, 300 txt and 1gb data

The best recent deal I remember was £230 at P4U stores: Orange upgrade (unlocked, required Orange PAYG sim at least 6 months old with regular topups). ETA: just Desire, not S

Try carphone warehouse, all their phones are unlocked, I have just bought a samsung galaxy apollo from them for £79.99 and they gave me £16 for my old nokia, under £64 for an android touch phone. regards bri :)

That's the Desire, not the Desire HD though.

I'm waiting for the price of the Desire HD to fall, I have the same idea as the OP, SIM free and GiffGaff.

I use fewer than 20 mins of calls a month and send fewer than 50 texts.

That is the Desire HD not the Desire S.

Desire S is the new phone out in April replacing the HTC Desire

    To check what?
Do you know how "Merchant's Incentive" works?
And do you really want it without data?
