PAYG internet on N73- tenners gone already
Hi,
I recently got a nokia n73 on O2 payg. I like O2 payg because of the free minutes, 5p a min calls etc, its usually really good value .
I may be mistaken but it seems my N73 has 2 browsers. One is called services that seems like a wap type setup and the other is called web that shows sites just like on a real PC .
I topped up a tenner this morning and have just been messing about with the web, no serious browsing just a quick look at ebay and this site - I would estimete less than 20 minutes useage.
Phone just bleeped and my tenners gone. Is this true? Does it really cost £30 an hour?
Any better payg tarrifs? ways to save money? Is the wap type browser ( if it has one ) much cheaper?
Might get me and the mrs 2 vodaphone simd and go on the family package for a fiver but it seems calls are 10p a minute compared to O2s 5p and no free minutes like O2.
Any help apreaciated
Thanks
Bestyman

On the internet you can be anything you want. It`s strange so many people choose to be rude and stupid.

i cant remember but orange payg had pay £1 and you get unlimited browsing for 24 hours.ummm...0

T-mobile is probably the best offer - all mobile phone GPRS capped at £1 per day - this beats the Orange & 3 pay £1 for a day's usage as a) you don't have to remember to activate it (could be costly if you forget) & b) you may nip on & not spend a pound one day, then do the same the next, but be back on later.Certain OTT members have caused me to add this disclaimer: all advice given is free of charge & as such should be taken to be IIRC (as I don't spend hours researching all answers  )!0

A Mobile Internet Card (Office) 3G/GPRS you can get as new ones from ebay. All you need is a data sim (USIM). costing about £50+ for the datacard and £1+ for the USIM. Orange of course.0 -
I briefly tried the orange offer out with a GPRS card & can confirm that the service cut out repeatedly (I believe this was NOT due to coverage). It did allow me to repeatedly reconnect. Easymobile let me get on fine, only 'problem' was £3/Mb. Won't have that problem after next month!Certain OTT members have caused me to add this disclaimer: all advice given is free of charge & as such should be taken to be IIRC (as I don't spend hours researching all answers  )!0

That also happens to me, but I just reconnect and think why should I pay £4 per MB to download without the offer or use 3G that you could have got for £1 25MB max per daag/activeation.0 -

Hi,
So the above is to connect my laptop to the tinternet? I have a dell inspiron 1300, it has a removable tray about the size of a credit card , is this where the mobile internet card goes? Am I correct in thinking that I then buy a PAYG orange sim ( any?? or do is specify 3g somehow) and then I browse internet on payg all day for £1??
If thats the case Id be well happy .
Could you please show me from the following link what it is I need . http://www.cclonline.com/

http://www.directmobilephones.com/images2003/fusion_orange.gif is the Option Fusion 3G/GPRS datacard. This one can take a standard payg sim put you will ONLY have GPRS speed so that means you can get the £1 for a day at GPRS speed, but Orange could only people have 3G speed for a £1 a day and the USIMs are only £1 + postage on ebay. Have a think, and ask me more questions if you want to? but note that in 2008 we will have 4G speed which can max out at speeds of 12MBps +.0
