Thing is some of those will end up on forums bleating about how hard done by they are and how they want it fixed for free.

How did they come up with these figures? Did they just ask 100 people and extrapolate the answers?
If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales

Yep presumably something like that. You always have to take these types of figures with a pinch of salt. I'd suspect the actual numbers are somewhat higher, particularly for those who did not have a service who probably reported they had a service when what they had done was an MOT.

I used to chuckle when I asked customers about servicing on thier PX and they claim to have done it them selfs. Yet, when I asked them if they could open the bonnet and start the car up for me they looked confused as to where the bonnet release was...

So 8.5 million muppets in the UK, out of a population of 62 million.

    We are 13.7% muppet!!

So just over just over 1 in 10 cars have been owned by a muppet :(

Number of drivers more concerned about how the car looks than how it works - 67 per cent

67% of motorists are women :p

I honestly don't get some folk.

It may just be because I am a tight northern git, but I don't like parting with money, especially not big piles of it, and so when someone finally does persuade me to open my wallet it's because I've done my research. Part of that when it comes to cars in particular is getting to know something about them. Only my other northern attribute, bone idleness, prevents me from fixing cars myself -- I'm quite capable of doing a lot of it.

To see people blowing 10, 20, 30, even 40 grand on a piece of tin and then show no interest whatsoever in protecting their investment always puzzles me. How exactly did they come across so much money when they're obviously so bl**dy stupid?

Lets add three numbers together just because they are there.;)

Where does it say that these three groups are mutually exclusive?

Usually "gift of the gab", middle and upper management is full of them.... They learn a few big words, use then to death and the idiot above them thinks "omg they really know their stuff!".

In electronics I worked with a guy who was like this, he talked utter nonsense and whenever someone asked a techical question he'd just use the word "transients" every other word until they were well and truly confused.
He didn't actually know what a transient was.....

At first I found it amusing, but when I realised that he never "puts his money where his mouth is", never does any work himself (just watches over your shoulder pretty much accepting whatever you say), he put himself between the team and the management, played the self appointed "go between" and started getting promoted despite never actually doing anything useful, the amusement then turned to anger.... For all of us!

But this is what the UK is like now, men have to talk bullsh!t and use big words totally out of context and women have to be slim, blonde and stupid.

The most well paid people I know are complete idiots with no common sense whatsoever.

Flash cars? those can afford them, generally cannot drive them.
