No point working - why not just go on benefits?

Looks like B Blank didn't notice that you'd highlighted relative or if he did didn't understand why.
B Blank - relative increases in benefits for those nearing retirements compared to wages does NOT mean you will be worse off by working.
It does when you factor in stress and commuting costs!!!!
Game, set and match Mr. Blank.
Mr Mumble has just slam dunked my arguement by giving it some figures to back it up. His figures togetehr with my in depth theory mean that this topic should maybe be a sticky?I am not a financial expert, and the post above is merely my opinion.:j0 -

I thought you were being serious rather than on a wind up for a minute then I got to the last bit0 -

I think I've been had!0

Just done a check on entitledto to see if it was worth a 24 year old where I am not working and going on benefits. He would get £51.75 income support and £80 LHA towards the cost of a room in a house share per week.0

I tend to just sit in a chair when I'm on the forums. It's good to be able to multi task though.
Yes I think we've been had. I might leave the OP to have a circular argument with his other personalities.0 -
I did try to warn you 'In nature, there are neither rewards nor punishments - there are Consequences.'0

we are a family of four all in full time work
my daughter has many friends who just don't want to work they come out with every excuse in the book
I find it all very sad , their Mum does nothing about it and just lets it carry on
they had a vacancy at my daughters place of work and asked if she knew of anyone that would be interested , what a sad world we live in when she couldn't recommend anyone because her friends just don't want to know.
Many young people ( may I add not all of them ) have this opinion of not working , just living on benefits - they are the ones going out clubbing all the time , hair and nails done etc what hope do we have for the future0
