credit card fraud

Hi,
I have just had three different credit cards with fraudulent activity on them dating between 15th March-17th March 2011, all activity was for Microsoft Xbox Live. The total was in excess of £800.
I have contacted all the credit cards but how has this been done, all credit cards are kept securely and one has not been used for a while?
What should I do to prevent this from occurring again?
:(

I don't know how it has occured, someone has got the credit card numbers somehow, the first I knew I received a letter from the one of the credit card company's Fraud department stating 'your account is restricted', I called them and they told me a initial request of £1 was made but the actual amount was £42.50 the payment was declined, the payment was for Microsoft Xbox live.
The following week I received a letter from the second credit company stating 'your account is overdrawn' I checked my statement immediately and there were 9@ £42.50 for Microsoft Xbox live, the third I checked today as a matter of course and it too had the same transactions for Xbox Live.:(

Do you have 9 kids lol ? sounds like someone has been treating themselves and there pals to xbox live subscriptions.. or buying points in xbox live to buy games - do you have an xbox ? the fact that they have all 3 cards is rather fishy..

When you get your new cards - keep them all on you at all times mate, keep them under your pillow or in a safe lol who knows your wife or kids may be swiping them when your sleeping lol.. Don't use them online in dodgy shops either =)

Very fishy, trying to think who has been in the wallet in my back pocket, we do not have many visitors to the house.
