kitchen tap been left on for 3 hours!

OK it's my fault but just wondering what the damaged (in money) will be?

I came home at 3.30pm and turned the hot tap on to wash the pots, put some washing in and then the phone rung - bloody salespeople! after I put the phone down I came upstairs and never went down until 6.30pm and put another load of washing in and the tap was still running:o I think we are on a metre too :eek:

Depends how fast the flow from the tap can run.

I calculated that a hose full on to water the garden cost about £1 an hour.

Loss of a tank of Hot water and if boiler was on trying to reheat all the time.

I would guess a maximum loss of £5 and probably much less.
