Whatever he did in this budget, opposers of his would have found some way of stating pretty much what you did above.

There is, and never will be, an approach which suits everyone.

There will always be opposers but don't you agree that this one didn't get thought through i.e. thinking that a company will swallow a price increase and not try to pass it on seems somewhat unlikely.

When VAT rose there was/is plenty of debate about whether this would/did get passed to the consumer but No. 11 never said that they'd be watching retailers 'like a hawk' to ensure they swallowed it.

I still want to know who in their right mind would pay £100 for a pair of shoes, even if they have reduced in price by £200?

I would be scared to wear them!
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.
