Phone Insurance

I can't believe this hasn't been asked a million times before on here but I did a search and I can't find anything:o so please don't shout at me if I have missed it:o

I have just bought a iphone 4 and the insurance through Tmobile is £12/month.
Is this a good deal for iphone insurance or are there better ones out there?

The lady in the shop said I get a month free with them and its on a rolling contract so I'm not tied in for any set time and I can cancel if I find cheaper.

I've never had phone insurance before as always had cheap phones but now I have treated myself I really want to be covered should the worse happen:eek: I'm also scared of getting caught out by a company who find every loophole and excuse of getting out of a claim should I need to make one (which hopefully I won't)

The company name on the policy is fonesafe.

If anyone could offer some advice it would be a big help:o

Many thanks in advance:)

See what it costs to add it to your home insurance if that is an option.

    Very often a lot cheaper.

EDIT - just had a look online and if you want specific phone insurance it can be had for the equivalent of £5.99 a month

I cannot believe that some people pay £124 p.a. i.e. about 50% over two years on the top of the price of some toy to insure it.

Which is why it is worth looking for cheaper alternatives;)

In some cases for both the insurance and the phone
  • Thank you lucylucky I'm going to dig my home insurance docs out and give them a call:D

I know £120/year is expensive so the cheaper I can get cover for the better.
Every little help's as they say:D
