Can I claim it?
Hi
Not long just finished a 12month contract with o2. I wrote them a letter to confirm my cancellation which was done. o2 then sent me a bill, however it says I am £8.95 in credit. Maybe a daft question but I am assuming I am not allowed to claim this?
Thansk in advance

The amount of credit received depends on the point in your billing cycle at which you are disconnected and whether you exceeded the allowance of minutes and SMS for the period up until disconnection. These are usually allocated pro rata for the period.
Credit is not automatically issued and the service provider does not usually inform you of how it is calculated or how it is claimed. It is up to the customer to contact the service provider and ask for the credit to be issued as a payment onto a debit / credit card or to be sent out as a cheque.
I am pretty sure a lot goes unclaimed. Make sure you get your £8.95!
Cheers

from my experience, networks are pretty bad at paying these sums of "petty" cash....twice already (once with voda, once with 3) they haven't paid up despite several correspondences with them0
