My posts have been all on the "Buying, selling houses forum" and in sheer desperation (with very little time to spare!) I now need your help on here!!
We lost the house we were buying .. was withdrawn from market as we originally went to exchange .... so now we go into storage (or rather our furniture does ..)
The urgent advice we need is WHAT do we now do with the equity due to us until we find a house to buy..???
Best interest etc would be appreciated .. plan to find a house again now (may have done that already and there is NO chain) .. off to Spain for a couple of months and return to hopefully "move in" ... not made offer yet though...
What would be our best option of investing this equity without "tying up" the money too long..??
Sorry if this has been said so many times before but really stressed here right now ..!!

Well a 1 yr (or higher) Savings Bond is out of the question for a start, eh?
The fact you are on here means you use the Internet and so I would go for an 'easy access' Internet Savings account, so that you can instantly get at your money, and probably one that pays monthly interest too.
Look out for threads on this section of MSE.co.uk:
Landsbanki Bank with its Icesave Internet Savings Account 5.45% Instant £1
ICICI BANK HiSAVE Savings Account 5.45% £1
ALLIANCE & LEICESTER DirectSaver 5.38% Instant (£5000 min)
CITIBANK Flexible Saver Issue 2 5.29% Instant £1
CAHOOT Savings Account 5.00% Instant £1
BRITANNIA BS DirectSaver 4.90% Instant 9£100 min)
ING DIRECT Savings Account 4.75% Instant £10 -
Thanks very much!! :j0
